This is a cool old factory around the corner from our house. Once the lone factory in a suburban area, it operated as such until the mid 70s, when it was converted into commercial space. Since then, it has been a home to various organizations, mostly creative, including Hinton Studios, the animation studio that made The Raccoons in the 1980s and 90s. This is also one of the few buildings left that exemplifies industrial activity in Ottawa. Other buildings, such as the foundry that once sat where my house does now, are long gone.
