Despite Brazil's steady economic growth to the verge of being one of the world's wealthier nations, no one should kid themselves as to the level of poverty that's still widespread in Brazil. While we saw many nice homes in Brazil, we also saw many like this.

actually, i have to agree with mike here, it doesn't look that bad compared to many places i've seen in south america.

That looks like quite a decent home compared to the stuff I seen when I was in Brasil.
