Camera: Pentax Spotmatic, 28mm Super Takumar lens. Rideau Street and Sussex Drive, Ottawa, ON.
The intersection of Rideau and Sussex can only be described as a travesty. Some of the nicest architecture in the city, such as the Chateau Laurier and Union Station. Unfrtunately, the building that once occupied this site was torn down, so that a complete traffic sewer could replace a traditional intersection. In order to facilitate that, the pedestrians were put underground, so that no car need slow down, or be bothered with watching for pedestrians crossing the road. Well played, Canada's capital.
Could you please stop wrecking my illusions? I used to think Canadians had better urban planning than the U.S.
On the bright side, it appears pedestrians are using the walkway for its intended purpose. Here in Atlanta it would rapidly become affordable housing for the residentially challenged.

cool shot, but are you surprised by what urban planners will do? wait, what do you do for a living?

a blank white picture might be preferable to seeing the results of "planners"!!
at least you turned the grot to your advantage and got a good shot out of it!

Unfortunately all I'm getting is a blank, white frame. Can see your other photos just fine. Thought I'd let you know. I'm using the latest firefox and tried IE, too.
